Today we spent more time on the 4wd Dyno, this time with a clients "bug eyed" MY02 STi. The car only had the resonator removed and an aftermarket exhaust. Well we were amazed at the results and with only a little more boost than stock we achieved an incredible increase, not only in torque but in power and throttle response. The car is even easier to drive as the camshafts (adjustable) were re-tuned as well, to improve throttle response both on- and off-boost.

Main tuning was done on cam timing (with adjustable Subaru features) ignition and fuel. Notable increase was found in low rpm increase in power as well as better drivability, and smoother idle. Car is expected to be more fuel efficient as well. Target fuel mixtures were rock solid and very conservative.

Note the car also had a remote bleed valve fitted to start with, so to compare honestly we left this in place and it was set to 18 psi for the final run with the re-tuned factory ECU.

Next week we will remove the bleed valve and run the car 100% boost control via the ECU, as time constraints have not allowed us to get this done yet! We will post new data when this happens!

As you know we don't promote power figures, but just look at the before and after dyno plots!"
