Live Data

When connected to a car, ProECU Mitsubishi EVO X can offer real time data and map tracing.

The below example data for 27 out of approximately 70 live data parameters is available from the "Live Data" tab of the ROM file being accessed. This data is accessed directly from the ECU in real time.

  • RPM: Engine speed. (Revolutions Per Minute)
  • Injector Duty Cycle: Percentage of time that the injector is open vs. closed (the time available changes as Engine speed increases (becomes less).
  • Fuel Trim Short Term & Long Term: This is the percentage of fuel trim that the ECU adds or subtracts to obtain stoichiometric AFR. This is useful to determine when the ECU is running in open/closed loop mode
  • Ignition Timing: This displays the actual ignition timing that the ECU is currently using
  • Knock Retard: Knock retard is the amount of Ignition timing removed by the ECU because of knock
  • Air Flow: Shows the reading from the Mass Airflow sensor
  • External Lambda/AFR Input Channel: This will only be displayed if an External Sensor has been configured in DeltaDash.
  • Custom RaceROM parameters such as:-
    • Engine Load
    • Charge Air Temperature
    • Boost

 

It is possible to log the data shown during Map Access mode for analysis in DeltaDash or ProECU.
It is then possible to customise the way the logged data are displayed using the Time Graphs, Data Table, Custom 2D Graphing, and Custom 3D Graphing tabs in the Log Viewer, as shown below:

Live Data

When connected to a car, ProECU Mazda MX5 can offer real time data and map tracing.

The following example data shows 22 out of approximately 60 live data parameters is available from the "Live Data" tab of the ROM file being accessed. This data is accessed directly from the ECU in real time.

  • RPM: Engine speed. (Revolutions Per Minute)
  • Injector (ms): Injector open time in milliseconds
  • Fuel Trim Short Term & Long Term: This is the percentage of fuel trim that the ECU adds or subtracts to obtain stoichiometric AFR. This is useful to determine when the ECU is running in open/closed loop mode
  • Ignition Timing: This displays the actual ignition timing that the ECU is currently using
  • Knock Correction: Knock correction is the amount of Ignition timing removed by the ECU because of knock
  • Air Flow (g/s): Shows the reading from the Mass Airflow sensor in grams per second
  • External Lambda/AFR Input Channel: This will only be displayed if an External Sensor has been configured in ProECU.

Mazda Diesel supports Mazda Diesel vehicles from 2006 onwards, fitted with the Denso engine ECU.

Both the 2 & 2.2 litre MZR-CD engines are supported for Mazda vehicles 3, 5, 6 & CX7.

Mazda Diesel Features

Mazda Diesel provides access to a wide range of calibration options for the OEM ECU, such as:

Tests have shown that for the the 2007 model 2.0ltr Mazda 6, power can eassily be increased from 143bhp to 175bhp. Correspondingly, torque can be raised from the standard 270lbs.ft (360Nm) to over 300lbs.ft (400Nm+).
 
Furthermore, the 150PS 2009 2.2ltr Mazda 3 can be tuned to 190PS with over 450Nm Torque, outshining the factory 185PS model.

Sensor calibration parameters for intakes and exhaust systems mean the ECU can be safely tuned for whatever the hardware can produce, providing you with a huge range of tuning options.

Tuning Results

Our development vehicle, a Mazda 3 2.2 Litre 2010, saw an increase of 41BHP (30KW) and 70 ft/lb (95Nm) of torque taking the standard car to 339 ft/lb (462Nm).

Mazda Diesel Tools

ProECU provides a specific Mazda Diesel ECU tool allowing you to perform Oil Ratio Resets, Fuel Pump Reset and DPF Pressure Sensor Reset. The newer 2010 2.2 Litre models also have a read & write injector codes function for injector calibration. Further features for DPF reset and re-installation are currently in development.


Force DPF Regeneration

This can be used to manual force a regeneration of the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF/FAP).

Install New DPF

Used when installing a new DPF filter.

Reset Oil Ratio

This important tools is required after an oil change service. This prevents the warning light on the dashboard.

ETB/EGR Initialisation

Electronic Throttle Body (ETB) and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Initialisation should be used after installing new ETB or EGR parts.

ECU Reset

This tool will reset all learnt and initialised values.

Reset Tools

Learnt values for the Fuel Pump, Injectors, MAF Sensor and the O2 Senor can be reset.

Read and Write Injector Codes

This tool allows for the correct configuration of new injectors.
